Hope Initiative (HI) seeks to develop vibrant and prosperous Vietnamese communities in Vietnam and abroad through poverty reduction, child development, and community enrichment programs. The Charity adopts a defined humanitarian platform, which focuses on three primary objectives:
The Charity incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in the summer of 2000. Based in Houston, Texas, the Charity operates several fundraising enterprises designed to raise donations for orphanages in Vietnam as well as community service activities designed to assist the local Vietnamese communities in Houston. The Charity's long term strategy includes expanding Hope Initiative’s Vietnam programs beyond the Charity's current network of orphanages, and developing a more robust community service program to incorporate other major areas with a high number of Vietnamese American residents. In the end, Hope Initiative seeks to be the chosen Vietnam focused charity for leading foundations, institutional and individual donors and other financial sponsors.

Since inception, the Charity has distributed proceeds to over 40 orphanages in Vietnam and has generated over $86,000 in charitable revenues. The Charity distributes proceeds through a network of orphanages in Vietnam. To expand its recipient base, Hope Initiative continually seeks and researches humanitarian organizations in Vietnam, which could best use Hope Initiative's charitable proceeds.
