Hope Initiative Paving the Path with New Officers

HOUSTON, TX. - August 1, 2011 - Hope Initiative, Inc. (HI) today announced its recent appointment of Dr. Vy Le as the non-profit’s President/CEO.  In her new position, Dr. Le will focus on leading and creating a stronger foundation in areas of fund raising, community involvement, marketing and operational efforts.

Dr. Le's education and professional experience include a B.S. in Biology and Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston (UH). Currently, she works at various offices in the Houston area.  She has been vocal in the Houston area community and a longtime active member & officer of Hope Initiative.

Joining Dr. Le to help build a better future are new officers:

Mr. Paul Nguyen - Vice President

Mr. Paul Nguyen is a Technical Support Specialist at The Methodist Hospital System.  He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.

Mr. David Tat - Chief Financial Officer

Mr. David Tat currently is a Systems/Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard with a B.S. in Electronics Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Ms. Mai Le – Secretary

Currently, Ms. Mai Le is a Sales Representative at Liberty Mutual Insurance with a B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Houston with a minor in sales.  Additionally, she is a Certified Sales Professional from the Sales Excellence Institute and Certified in Corporate Entrepreneurship from UH.

Ms. Quyen Nguyen - Public Relations Director

Ms. Quyen Nguyen currently holds a Marketing & Operations position at Al’s Formal Wear.  She has a B.S. in Consumer Science & Merchandise and minor in Supply Chain Management from the University of Houston.

Mr. Stevie Vu – Marketing Director

Mr. Stevie Vu is a Group Housing Coordinator at Starwood Hotel & Resorts.  He holds a B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Houston.
